Douglas Fanning Debuts Wall Blades Light Fixture

Douglas Fanning has released a new collection of wall-mounted brass light fixtures that pivot from vertical to horizontal.

Brooklyn-based architect-turned-maker Douglas Fanning has released a new collection of wall-mounted brass light fixtures that pivot from vertical to horizontal.

The Wall Blades are versions of Fanning’s Light Blades that have been scaled and proportioned to wall lighting, the company says.

Each fixture features hand-milled channels that house LEDS on both sides and are capable of pivoting vertical to horizontal. They are able to cast light forward and back or up and down by changing the position of the blade.

Pieces feature a 15-inch-long blade supported on a 10-inch stem with an 8.5-inch tall backplate. Handmade in Brooklyn, the Wall Blades come in the new Brass Edition or in glossy black and white.
