Duravit Expands Collection of Mirrors with Integrated Light

Duravit has expanded its program of lighted mirrors with two new products, including a unit with indirect ambient light on all four sides and another with illumination on the right and left.

Products feature adjustable light and touchless control.

“Today’s user is accustomed to the modern amenities that technology provides,” says Tim Schroeder, president of Duravit USA. “By reinventing bathroom mirrors with a few key features – sensor-driven light control, LED technology that casts a more natural glow, an extremely minimal design – we’re elevating these items from necessities to luxuries.”

The ambient light mirror provides indirect light from all four sides. Featuring a wallwash effect, it casts light on the room, rather than straight on the user to create a more natural ambiance than typically found in brightly lit bathrooms, the company says.

The dual-light mirror provides a more direct illumination coming from light on the right and left sides of the mirror. It also features a specially developed deflector that helps produce a high light yield, the company explains.

Both mirrors also are available as optional “premium” editions, which include heating capabilities to prevent fogging over and touchless sensor operation, where they can be controlled at the source as well as a light switch.
