LP, The Home Depot Launch New 76 Fencing Series

Home Depot Fence Pickets

LP Building Solutions has introduced the new 76 Series to its Elements Performance Fencing collection.

The new series features narrower planks that can withstand 200 mph winds

LP Building Solutions has introduced the new 76 Series to its Elements Performance Fencing collection that will be distributed through a new partnership with Home Depot.

“LP Elements fencing is designed to stand up stronger and longer than typical softwood fencing alternatives and is developed to defend against twisting, cracking, or warping,” the company says. “The 76 Series of LP Elements fencing enters the market in part through a partnership with The Home Depot in key markets.”

Narrower planks designed to withstand 200 mph wind gusts

Designed to be more durable than typical softwood due to a zinc borate–based treatment, the 76 series of Home Depot fence pickets is made of engineered wood that the company says is developed to defend against twisting, cracking or warping. The series features narrower pickets than the 92 Series launched in 2019. Because the planks are manufactured for consistent dimensions, the series offers increased quality control. Each picket measures  0.44 inches thick, 5.3 inches wide, and 71.88 inches long.

The series can withstand winds gusts up to 200 mph, according to the company. And the planks are safe from the neighborhood children: In addition to being fungal and termite resistant, the fencing can also withstand impact from small rocks or baseballs going 50 mph.

Four available colors for LP’s outdoor fencing, customization options

“We value the innovation that an engineered wood option brings to the overall fencing category and are happy to offer more options for fence installers and homeowners alike,” says Louie Escobedo, product manager of fencing for LP Building Solutions. “In particular, expanding our portfolio to include primed pickets allows homeowners to select their own paint shade while knowing that they are getting the durability that comes with choosing LP Elements fencing.”

Professionals can choose from primed or finished pickets, which are available in four colors: Mojave Ridge, Carolina Cedar, Key Largo Surf and Portland Storm. The company says the primed option comes ready to be painted in any color by the installer.

LP Partnership with Home Depot

Along with the introduction of the new series, LP announced a partnership with Home Depot to distribute the 76 Series in key markets to installers, contractors, and homeowners. Both the primed 76 Series and finished 92 Series products will be available.

The company says the easy-to-install 76 series will be available at Home Depot starting in the Phoenix and Dallas markets starting in summer 2020.
