Maytag has introduced three new cleaning appliances that are designed to make life easier for homebuyers. The list includes a dishwasher that eliminates pre-soaking and laundry appliances with an extra power button for heavy loads.
“The new dishwasher with Dual Power Filtration eliminates the need to pre-rinse dishes before loading them into the dishwasher,” Maytag says. “The new top load washer and dryer with Extra Power button removes unnecessary guesswork, like knowing what water temperature to use on the washer to remove certain types of clothing stains.”

Extra-power button gives laundry a boost
Maytag debuted a new laundry series with an extra power button on both the washer and dryer units.
“Some stains dissolve best in hot water, others in cold. With the push of a button, Maytag fights both in a single load,” the company says. “The Extra Power button boosts stain-fighting performance on any wash cycle with a dual-temperature wash.”

The extra power button comes in five new top-loading washers and four matching dryers. Units are available in white and metallic slate finishes and come in 16 to 18 pound load sizes. All of the new washer-dryer combos are smart home compatible with WiFi technology, include a deep fill option, and feature advanced moisture sensing that monitors the laundry’s temperature to evenly dry the clothes.
By pushing the extra power button on the dryer, consumers can add extra time and heat so the clothes dry the first time, according to the company.

“Laundry is usually sorted by what to wash, not what to dry,” the company says. “When heavy jeans get mixed in with thin shirts, the Extra Power button and advanced moisture sensors help evenly dry the whole load.”
Model-specific features include a built-in water faucet, steam-enhanced drying, a sanitation cycle, and PowerSpray, which recycles water and detergent to target stains.

Dual power filter eliminates need to presoak dishes
Four new dishwashers include the dual power filtration system, which the company says eliminates the need to presoak dishes.
“Skip soaking, scrubbing and pre-rinsing with filtration that’s been tested tough to deliver clean dishes the first time,” the company says. “Industry-exclusive technology combines two proven dishwasher filter systems for the first time, 100 percent microfiltration, and a four-blade stainless steel chopper.”

Before pumping clean water back into the unit through spray jets, the microfilter traps food to ensure the particles do not end up back on the dishes. The four-blade stainless steel chopper breaks down food small enough to drain out with the water.
The units are available in fingerprint-resistant stainless steel, include a high-power jet setting, a sanitizing function, and have a noise level under 50 decibels. Model specific features include a third-level rack and a PowerDry option that the company says removes humidity so dishes can be put back right away after the cycle is done.
