New KitchenAid Dishwasher Offers a ‘Window’ Into Cleaning

Whirlpool Corp. has introduced a new KitchenAid dishwasher with an integrated window that allows homeowners to peek inside and an interior light giving users a clear indicator of completed cycles.

When dishes are clean, the interior lighting illuminates the dishes, making them visible without opening the door.

“Discerning homeowners with a passion for cooking will appreciate the assurance that their dishes are sparkling prior to removal,” says Bob Bergeth, general manager of builder sales for Whirlpool.

The dishwasher also includes a range of high-end details, including a stainless steel inner tub, insulation and sound-dampening features for quiet operation of just 44 decibels, seamless Precision Touch controls, and professional-style handles with a satin cross-hatched texture and a non-slip grip.

Specialty cleaning elements include a dynamic wash arm comprised of nine individual wash arms for complete coverage, a Clean Water Wash System that continuously removes food particles, and adjustable shelving on the upper rack with indents for stemware. Also on the upper rack is a bottle wash, featuring a concentrated spray with four adjustable, bendable nozzles for accommodating bottles, vases, and other deep or odd-shaped items.
