PERC Highlights Sustainability and Efficiency at IBS with 'Clean Build Conversations

At this year's Show Village at IBS, Genesis Homes will show off how it can build a sustainable home, like the one pictured above, in 55 days from start to finish.

The Propane Education & Research Council (PERC) is set to equip construction professionals with insights and tools for constructing sustainable homes at the International Builders' Show (IBS) in Las Vegas later this month.

PERC will host a panel discussion titled "Clean Build Conversations" featuring industry veterans Matt Blashaw and Anthony Carrino near the Genesis Homes in Show Village on Wednesday, February 28 from noon to 1 p.m. PST. The discussion will cover topics like emergency preparedness, sustainability, and emerging trends in the industry.

Bryan Cordill, PERC's director of residential business development, highlighted the importance of such platforms for addressing key issues like constructing resilient homes. Cordill stated, "In addition to 'Clean Build Conversations,' attendees will have the opportunity to explore propane's role in sustainable home building."

The showcase of two Genesis Homes will offer builders firsthand experience of propane-powered homes' clean and efficient energy solutions.

Builders are encouraged to visit PERC's outdoor booth (P8) to learn about innovative products including:

  • Bindus Heat Pump Helper: An energy-efficient solution for home heating utilizing hot water from a propane-powered tankless water heater.
  • Upstart Power Fuel Cell Technology: Wall-hanging fuel cell technology providing consistent power without combustion, resulting in quieter, cleaner operation with near-zero emissions.

PERC's presence at IBS underscores its commitment to promoting sustainability and efficiency in the construction industry, offering professionals valuable insights and innovative solutions for a greener future.
